Dr. Claudia Patch Says, "Restore Your Smile to its Fullest!"

A Secure Solution for Your Smile

At Woodstock General & Implant Dentistry in Woodstock, NY, we provide our patients with the best quality care regarding dental treatments. Our experienced dentists, Dr. Claudia Patch and Dr. Bethany Wong, offer our patients a unique dental solution for tooth loss: implant-supported dentures. This treatment provides long-term stability and functionality for dentures, especially those with loose, ill-fitting dentures or numerous missing teeth.

Implant-supported dentures consist of a prosthetic denture with several small implants along the jaw arch. These implants for dentures anchor the denture in place and provide stability and support, allowing the denture to remain securely in place. With Implant-Supported Dentures in Woodstock, NY, you can chew, bite, and talk more comfortably, allowing them to regain their quality of life.

The Advantages of Implant-Supported Dentures Over Removable Alternatives

Implant-supported dentures are an increasingly popular option when replacing missing teeth and with good reason. Unlike traditional removable dentures, implants for dentures offer a more stable and comfortable fit with the potential for greater confidence when speaking, eating, and smiling. Other advantages of implants for dentures over traditional removable dentures include a reduced risk of gum and tissue damage, better ability to chew food, less alteration of the facial structure, and improved durability. These implant dentures require fewer maintenance visits than traditional dentures, leading to cost savings over time. In all, implant-supported dentures offer a superior alternative to traditional removable dentures for those who have lost multiple teeth.

Explore the Implant Denture Procedure

The process of getting overdenture implants begins with an initial consultation with our specialist Dr. Patch. Dr. Patch will assess your oral health with a complete oral exam and discuss your dental concerns and what you want to see out of your smile. We’ll obtain digital X-rays and CT scans to best determine the placement of your dental implants. From here, we’ll build and complete your custom treatment plan that perfectly suits your dental concerns and includes your preferred sedation option to maximize your comfort during your procedure.

We’ll then perform your dental implant procedure which includes placing your dental implants into your jawbone for optimal support and function. Once the implant is secured, the denture will be placed on it and will remain in place while your dental implants heal and fuse with your jawbone over the next three to six months. Dr. Patch will then see you for your final appointment to check how well your dental implants are healing and place your final overdenture implant restoration so you can enjoy a comfortable, beautiful, and healthy smile for the long term!
